Une techno dark et viscérale, des titres qui n’ont ni queue ni tête, un duo suédois dont on ne sait rien, une onomatopée imprononçable qui évoque la neige sur la télé de votre grand-mère quand vous tentiez (en vain) de regarder Fort Boyard ; SHXCXCHCXSH est de retour avec un album qui pourrait endommager certaines parties de votre encéphale.
Je vous l’accorde, pas facile de bavasser sur les cabrioles du tandem scandinave qui s’est fait connaitre avec Rrrrgrrgrrr (Subsist) et Nmhnmhnmnmh (HEM), des morceaux aussi impitoyables que leur titres. SHXCXCHCXSH a su se démarquer par l’opacité d’une techno industriellement grasse et par l’aura mystique qui se dégage de leur artwork et de leurs prestations scéniques. Kicks éreintants, lignes acides vénéneuses, l’écoute de SHXCXCHCXSH n’est pas de tout repos ; on reste là, fasciné devant l’anatomie de leurs productions, la techno dans le plus simple appareil, sobre et sans artifice.
Après un premier pèlerinage acclamé par la critique avec le LP STRGTHS, le duo made in Ikea annonce déjà le départ avec Linear S Decoded prévu le 9 Septembre 2014 sur Avian, le label de Shifted et Ventress ; un second album plus harmonieux que le précédent, empreint d’un certain optimisme jusque-là absent de leurs productions. Good news, il semblerait que leur anaphylaxie aux voyelles se soit finalement arrangée puisqu’ils nous font l’honneur de pondre une tracklist intelligible pour le commun des mortels.

A dark and visceral techno, titles that makes no sense, a Swedish duo about whom we know nothing, an impossible-to-say onomatopoeia which recalls the snow on your grandmother’s TV when you tried (in vain) to watch Double Dare; SHXCXCHCXSH is back with a LP that may damage certain parts of your brain.
I grant you, it’s not easy thing to talk about the Scandinavian tandem’s work made known with Rrrrgrrgrrr (Subsist) and Nmhnmhnmnmh (HEM), tracks as ruthless as their titles. SHXCXCHCXSH stand out of the crowd for the opacity of an industrially crude techno and for the mystical aura emerging from their artwork and stage performances. Back-breaking kicks, poisonous acid lines , the listening of SHXCXCHCXSH is not restful at all ; we just stay there, astonished before the anatomy of their work, techno music in its birth-suit, sober and without artifice.
After a first pilgrimage with the critically acclaimed LP STRGTHS, the duo made in Ikea has already announced the departure with Linear S Decoded due the 11th August 2014 on Avian, Shifted and Ventress’ label ; a second album more melodic than the first, marked by a certain optimism missing until there in their productions. Good news, it seems that their anaphylaxis to vowels has been treated since they grace us with an intelligible track list.
