Le dj et producteur hambourgeois Doctor Dru est autodidacte et parvient à soigner notre Dure Vie avec une activité professionnelle et musicale poussée en développant ses propres projets et Exploited Records, le label de Shir Khan.
Il créé en 1999 son agence de production et de composition de son pour des marques, des artistes et des films. Notons que Volkswagen et Ikea font parti de ses clients chroniques.
En 2010, Martino Doncello de son vrai nom fonde le label Jeudi Records avec ses amis de Hambourg soient le duo Adana Twins (Benjamin Busse & Friso Traas) et le dj Davidé Kundo.
Il s’autoproduit en sortant son premier EP Ooh Gosh! chez Jeudi en juin 2011 composé de 3 titres originaux Ooh Gosh!, Pongo! et Baby! ainsi qu’un remix du duo Hickup (Dirty Bird, Sweat it out, Exploited). Nous retrouvons dans cet EP house très tonique l’ADN de Doctor Dru qui a des gènes de batteur et percussionniste.
Il produit également Juicy Fruit durant l’été 2011, musique qu’il compose avec Adana Twins et qui contaminera la Black Jukebox de Shir Khan. Ce son sucré participera à la sécrétion disco du sous label d’Exploited Records. Mangez 5 fruits et légumes par jour.

En avril 2012, Doctor Dru sort un titre orphelin The Voice of Dru avec le label berlinois de Shir Khan qui s’impose en 1ère place du Top Track de Beatport dans la catégorie deep house ainsi que dans le top 10 de la même plateforme. Le son est un hommage à The Voice of Q, un grand classique de la musique house composé par Q en 1982. Le chirurgien ralenti le beat afin de rétablir une track disco deep.
