Un étrange phénomène aux teintes claires-obscures a pointé le bout de son bec à la lumière toute aussi ambulante que colorée des clubs internationaux. À l’aspect théatro-dramatique vénitien accompagné de l’atmosphère mystérieux qui va avec, Claptone a su séduire la scène électronique de Berlin, Paris, Londres, New-York, Ibiza, Shanghai et Melbourne.
Bien qu’il se cache sous un masque doré de la Cité des Doges, le dj berlinois brille de tout son génie avec sa house très deep aux allures disco et aux touches funky.
En moins d’un an, à 9 jours près, Claptone a sorti cinq EPs chez Exploited Records qui lui ont valu le titre d’ « Artiste de l’année 2012 » par German Trendcharts DCC.
Fin janvier 2012, il dévoile son talent avec son célèbre EP Cream, dont l’éponyme atterrit à la 2ème place du Top Track de Beatport dans la catégorie deep house et apparaît dans le Top 7 de Resident Advisor.
Ceci explique pourquoi il est tant encouragé par des grands artistes tels que DJ Hell, Solomun, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, Jesse Rose, et bien d’autres.
La track Cream rend hommage à un titre de Hip Hop des années 90 C.R.E.A.M. de Wu Tang Clan qui utilise des samples de la mélodie du piano de As Long as I’ve got you de The Charmels. Claptone parvient à en faire un son très groovy.

Le dj au masque enchaîne donc les EPs chez Exploited, comme mentionné précédemment. Dès Juin 2012, il met en lumière Night On Fire, un EP deep house idyllique fardé de mélancolie. Claptone dévoile en musique ce qu’il ne montre pas visuellement.

Hier, lundi 21 janvier 2013, Claptone sort son nouvel EP Wrong, une véritable liberté que s’approprie le dj berlinois en associant des styles opposés. Il assemble une sample de Still de Dr Dre à des beats bien à lui pour former le titre Wrong. L’EP présente aussi No Eyes en featuring avec Jaw du trio français dOP qui prête sa voix douce et on ne peut plus juste.

A very strange phenomenon with clear dark tints pointed the end of it’s beak, at the mobile and colorful light of clubs of the whole world. With his theatrical look and the mysterious atmosphere glazing around him, Claptone seduced the electronic scene in Berlin, Paris, London, New-York, Ibiza, Shanghai and Melbourne.
Even though he is hiding under a golden mask from Venice, the Berliner dj shines off his genius with his very deep house in the tones of disco and with funky touches.
In less than a year, Claptone came out with 5 EPs at Exploited Records which greeted him the title of ” Artist Of The Year 2012” by German Trendcharts DCC.
At the end of January 2012, he revealed his talents with his famous Ep Cream, of which the eponym settled it number 2nd of Top Track of Beatport into deep house category and appeared in the top 7 on Resident Advisor.
This explains why he is so boosted by huge artists like Dj Hell, Solomun, Dj Sneak, Soul Clap, Jesse Ross and many more.

As said before, Claptone is going on and on with EPs with Exploited. From June 2012, he put on the top Night On Fire, an idyllic deep house EP made up with melancholia, this way the masked dj revealed through music what he does not show visually.
